Four Trees

This painting is called four trees. Egon Schiele completed this painting in 1917. This landscape painting draws attention to both the trees an the rolling hills in the background of the sun. I chose this image because it remains me of the fall season (a season that we are preparing to enter). This painting reminds me of the changing leaves, something that I cannot wait to experience.

Kaitlin Droluk- Banksy

Girl With Balloon Banksy is an anonymous England-based street artist, political activist, and film director, active since the 1900s.  A little girl who lets a heart-shaped balloon go:  Girl with Balloon  represents one of Banksy’s most popular works. Next to it, there was the famous inscription  “There is always hope” . I love everything about this piece of artwork. I love the deep red in the balloon and the shadowing & shading of the little girl. I choice this piece of work because I feel like there are multiple interruptions of the story behind this work.

Jean-Michel Basquiat - Kimberly Durso

  This is an untitled painting by Jean-Michele Basquiat, created in 1982. I chose this painting because I like how he layered different colors of paint underneath the black skull. I think it is interesting how Basquiat paints in a messy style as it looks like the background of the picture was unplanned. I also noticed the scribbled letters on top of the skull that seems as if they are crossed out and covered with paint making what he wrote illegible.
