Vincent Van Gogh Drawing (Girl and the cradle)
This drawing is called "Girl Kneeling by a Cradle" created in the year 1883 by Vincent Van Gogh. The girl that is kneeling is his niece Maria and the baby in the cradle is his newborn nephew Willem. I chose this drawing because I was drawn to how the girl was peering into the cradle of her newborn sibling. This reminded me of the relationship between my sister and I. That is me being the oldest and always looking after her. I also like how Vincent Van Gogh captured this moment in particular because it shows the curiosity and innocence of an important time in an older child's life.
