Picasso- Kimberly Durso

This black and white art piece is called "The Milliner's Workshop" created by Pablo Picasso in 1926. The picture depicts the workshop on the same street as Picasso's apartment where he could see the seamstresses working through the door when passing by. I chose this piece because I thought the composition was fascinating in which he used different shapes and shades of black and white to make up the figures. I found that I had to look at the picture for a while before I could focus on the figures and understand what was being portrayed in the picture.
