Black Jug and Skull

This is a black & white lithograph by Pablo Picasso. This was made in 1946 and can be associated with the suffering and death that occurred from the Second World War. Picasso was superstitious of death and the skull can depict a memorto mori, which is a reminder of death. I find this image to be somber and errie.
