Mont Sainte Victoire (Paul Cezanne)

This oil painting is called Mont Sainte Victoire by Paul Cezanne in 1904-1906. He painted a limestone mountain ridge in the south of France which is called Montagne Sainte-Victoire. What drew me into this painting was the mountain and the city below it. I also like how Cezanne used the color oils in his paintings to make it seem that half of the city is being covered in sunlight. This makes it even more realistic like a photo that was taken. And lastly, I love how he captured the image of a sunrise over a city it just makes it more life-like.
