Paul Cezanne is a famous French painter, one of the greatest of the Post-Impressionists, whose

works and ideas were influential in the aesthetic development of many 20 th century artists and

art movements, especially Cubism. Paul Cezanne was born on January 19, 1839, and died

October 22, 1906. Cezanne is famous for his still-life drawings. A still life drawing focuses on still

objects. The subject matter is inanimate and never moves, typically Cezanne did still life

drawings/painting using fruit. The drawing I picked it called Still Life by Paul Cezanne. This

picture first caught my attention because of the color choices. I really appreciate how deep and

rich the color choices he used. I love how simple this design is, but yet so detailed. I like the

shading and how he highlights the texture of the fruit. Also, I really like the shading in the vase

and plate. Lastly, I like he blended the colors together.
